Ghanaian ‘Uber Driver’ hit maker Wendy Shay has opened up on the inspiration behind her new song dubbed ‘Survivor’.
During her performance of the acoustic version of the song on Glitch Africa Wendy Shay explained that her song was heavily inspired by broken heart and the emotional stress that comes along with it and the difficulty in it being the fact that she is a celebrity.
Wendy Shay went further to say that her song also got an inspiration from the death of Nigerian gospel star Osinachi and the cause of her death being domestic violence.
In her words Wendy said “I want everyone out there who is going through abuse in their relationship to tap into the energy in my song and release their pain and anger”.
