Paul Pogba’s Brother And Three Others Taken Into Police Custody Over Alleged Extortion Plot

Accusations that Mathias Pogba attempted to extort his brother Paul Pogba has led to his arrest.

WHAT OCCURED? Previously, Pogba’s brother had vowed to share “explosive” details about his younger sibling. Additionally, there have been claims of witchcraft and extortion.

The latest development involves Mathias Pogba being held by police as part of an inquiry into an alleged attempt at extortion that was launched in August.

Along with the older sister of the Juventus player, three additional persons were apparently detained at the same time. In France, temporary detention typically lasts for 24 hours.

Through his attorney, Mathias Pogba has refuted any wrongdoing.

The drama might derail France’s World Cup preparations. Hugo Lloris, the team’s captain, had acknowledged “negative” sentiments among the group in an interview with L’Equipe. In September, the French national team will assemble for matches against Denmark and Austria in the Nations League.

The midfielder underwent surgery at the beginning of September and is currently out with a knee injury. Pogba is a significant question mark for France’s World Cup team and is not anticipated to play for Juventus until 2023.
