“We Nearly Sold ‘Old Man Boogie’ For ¢4,000 And A BMW” – FBS Explains


Popular ghanaian dance duo and legendary music group Famous But Simple (FBS) have officially announced their return to active showbiz after almost 2 decades off the music scene.

In an interview on EIB Network’s GHOne TV’s morning show Xpressive, the popular music duo explained how they got their first hit song Old Man Boogie after taking advice from media mogul Bola Ray.


According to them, after the song became a monster hit, there was an attempt by a music management team to buy the song for which the negotiator told them was GH¢ 4,000 but the original price on the deal was ¢250,000 but was hidden from them.

We received our first ever cheque of GH¢4,000 and a BMW but later found out the real deal was been hidden from us and Bola Ray helped us get it with another car in addition which was an Audi” this was according to FBS as it happened almost 20 years ago.

Currently, the music duo is back in the ghanaian music space and has so far released a new song which is dubbed Jo (Dance) featuring Mr. Drew.
